Swedish cookware legends Skeppshult and Michelin-starred British chef Simon Rogan have announced a new partnership forged in a shared passion for quality, craftsmanship, sustainability and practicality.
The collaboration was cemented at Simon Rogan’s two Michelin-starred restaurant L’Enclume, where Skeppshult’s hand forged cast iron products were used by the chef himself in an exclusive demonstration of outstanding cookery and exquisite presentation. A video can be viewed here.
“I love the sustainable ethos behind Skeppshult, and the concern they have always had for environmental issues,” said Rogan. “It’s something that inspires everything we do at L’Enclume.Besides which their products are a dream to cook with, and look great on the table. It’s a perfect partnership.”
Rogan’s shop at L’Enclume in Cartmel, Cumbria, also now stocks Skeppshult’s gorgeously tactile ‘swing’ spice grinders.
Simon Bolmgren, Skeppshult’s CEO, sees the collaboration as a natural fit between two companies with a shared philosophy. “We are honoured to partner with Simon Rogan who, in a similar manner to Skeppshult, places great emphasis on local sustainable production, regardless if we talk about a signature dish or a frying pan”, he said.
